😡 How to not get scammed?
There is no police in this Telegram crypto world. So, it means that there is way more less responsibility for mini-apps creators. And some apps are targeted at luring your cryptomoney out. They are promising you very high and unrealistic interest rates like 2%, 3% per day or even more 🚨
This usually concerns mostly projects that require investments. Projects that pay you for watching ads are tending to non-scam behaviour: their owners just earn part of their commission while you watch ads. Investment project usually rely on Ponzi scheme (or financial pyramind). They sometimes allow you to earn for free, but they also offer you opportunity to boost your earnings via small (or not small) donation.
Before entering investment projects, please consider carrying out a little research:
- Look for project's channel, chat and support. If chat is closed - bad sign. If there are many posts at channel with special/promotional offers - bad sign, they might be luring out more money. If you are in doubts, try to contact support for some cooked-up reason. If support remains silent - bad sign.
- Try to find project's wallets addresses (they usually have two: one for deposits and one for withdrawals) and monitor them periodically. If you see wallet drained, then, well, scam-time has happened. You can detailed information on wallet condition at tonviewer for example.
- And finally you can try to look for some honest reviews from project participants, but don't trust them blindly.
If you are brave enough to invest in such projects, stick to the following simple rules to minimze negative impact on your mentality when another project scams you 😁:
- Never invest more than you can afford to lose 💪
- Try to jump into the project on its early start (that's basic principle of Ponzi scheme, by the way) 🤔
- Withdraw your profits as soon as possible, because every day could be the final day of project's lifespan 💀
